Ericka is Miss MalaysiaIndian Global 2007

Ericka Krystalyn Manuel was crowned Miss MalaysiaIndian Global 2007 at a glittering ceremony on Saturday, 6th October at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Joanne Rekha Nayagam was 1st Runner-Up while Dalveen Kaur was 2nd Runners-Up.

Ericka takes back an ASTRO scholarship, jewellery worth RM5,000 from Poh Kong, a hand-woven Persian Carpet worth RM5,000 from Astana Persian Carpet and a sofabed worth RM5,000 from Lifestyle Solutions.

Joanne receives an ATC scholarship, jewellery worth RM3,000 from Poh Kong and a hand-woven Persian Carpet worth RM3,000 from Astana Persian Carpet.

Dalveen receives an ATC scholarship, jewellery worth RM2,000 from Poh Kong and a hand-woven Persian Carpet worth RM2,000 from Astana Persian Carpet.

Miss MalaysiaIndian Global 2007 Grandfinals

The 8th National Miss MalaysiaIndian Global 2007 will be held on Saturday, 6th October 2007 @ the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

The grandfinals is a charity evening and will raise funds for the Miss MalaysiaIndia Care Association’s GIFT HER WITH LIFE FUND. The grandfinals is a theater-style show.

Pre-pageant buffet dinner + pageant ticket package is with a minimum donation of RM350 per pax.

Pageant only invites are at RM150 per pax (corporate seats) and RM80 per pax (regular seats).

Ratatouille Charity Screening

SOME 180 excited children from seven shelters and orphanages in Klang Valley thronged the lobby of TGV Suria KLCC in conjunction the screening of the French-inspired animation RATATOUILLE.

The children, aged between 5 and 15 years, were the guests of the Miss MalaysiaIndia Care Association and France Cooperation. The Community screening was a collaboration between both the organisations in conjunction with the Merdeka Celebrations.

Miss MalaysiaIndia Care Association president Sharanjit Kaur Dhaliwal said the highly-inspiring movie was a reflection of the “I can or Boleh” spirit. The story revolves around an ambitious rat who aspires to become a chef and is undaunted by the fact that he is a rat-in-a-man’s world.

PEP - Series 2

Dear all,

We had just finished the first Personal Enhancement Programme in the PEP Workshop series last Saturday, 11 August 2007, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The response was positive and the girls who attended the programme benefited a lot from the workshop.

Now, we are organising the second series, with the details below:
DATE: 25 August 2007
TIME: 8am-12pm
VENUE: Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, KL
REGISTRATION FEE: RM50
(does not include lunch)

Participants will be given a certificate of attendance.

The workshop is open to ALL women (including foreigners living in Malaysia) between 16 and 30 years. Bring your friends (women only), meet new people and make new friends!

Miss MalaysiaIndian Global ‘07

The hunt for the Miss MalaysiaIndian Global 2007 is almost coming to an end!

With one more week to go before the competitive rounds start, this is the last chance for YOU to take part in the most exclusive pageant for MalaysianIndians.

The pageant is open to Malaysian girls of Indian descent who are between 18 and 27 years (born 1980).

Before taking part in the competitive round, you must attend a Personal Enhancement Programme (PEP), a compulsory self-development workshop.
The PEP, however, is open to anyone who would like to improve themselves.

Topics such as Confidence Building, Interview Skills, Financial Planning, Grooming and Health & Hygiene will be discussed.

Charity Movie Screening

In conjunction with the 8th annual MISS MALAYSIAINDIAN GLOBAL pageant, a Private Charity Screening of THE SIMPSON’S MOVIE is being scheduled in aid of the association’s GIFT HER WITH LIFE tax exempt fund. The Fund supports an extensive social development programme that deals with issues involving the girl-child.

Welcome to the annual Personal Enhancement Programme (PEP) 2007, our long-standing personal development workshop that promises to tease you mind and challenge your perceptions.

Now in its 8th year, the PEP is a community care workshop which is the front-runner for the annual Miss MalaysiaIndian Global pageants. Over 3,200 young women nationwide have savoured our annual workshops since year 2000.

Miss MalaysiaIndian Global 2007 - Open Day

The hunt for the Miss MalaysiaIndian Global 2007 is on!

We are kicking off our activities for this year with an Open Day, on July 14, at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, from 9am-4pm, with the aim of answering all your queries about the pageant.

All those who registered online are required to bring their photos to be submitted to the organisers. We will be opening a counter for walk-in registrations, so if your friends would like to take part but have not submitted their entries online, this is the best time to do so.

Living Skills

Mourhrna Anetha Reddy, Miss MalaysiaIndian Global 2006, is organising a Living Skills Development Programme: Empowering The Disabled, on Saturday, 23rd June 2007, from 10am to 1pm at the Royal Selangor Pewter Centre.

The beneficiaries of the programme are 30 children from Cheshire Home. So, come and share your time with them. We’ll be there.
